Tank Sense Install Instructions
Tank Sense Installation Instructions 1) Read through the provided install instructions and watch the Tank Sense installation video. Visit www.mopeka.com/support and click on “Visit Knowledge Base”, then click on “Install Videos”, and then click on the Tank Sense video before installing your first Tank Sense sensor. 2) Scan QR code on sensor 3) Complete Device Info page and click NEXT 4) Complete Customer Info page and click NEXT 5) Select your tank style (vertical or horizontal) and click NEXT 6) Select your update rate (8hrs, 12hrs, or 24hrs) and click NEXT 7) Select your sensor mounting position on the gauge. It’s very important to get the mounting position correct so the sensor will read correctly. a. Please note that position 2 as shown on the screen is 0% on the tank gauge Example: Sensor Position 3 b. Click NEXT 8) Installing the sensor on an above-ground tank: a. If your install position is 2 or 4, remove both dial face screws and install the provided metal spacers between the metal sensor plate and dial face and secure it using the new longer screws (provided). b. If your install position is 1 or 3, remove both dial face screws. Install 1 of the provided spacers and new screw on the side that will be underneath the sensor and tighten it down. (This screw and spacer will support the sensor from underneath to keep it level.) Then use the other provided spacer and position it between the tanks’ dial face and metal sensor bracket and install the new provided screw through the metal bracket and tighten the screw down securing the sensor to the gauge. i. Ensure that the sensor is centered and straight over the dial face for that position and then fully tighten. c. Click NEXT 9) Installing the sensor on an underground tank: a. Your install position will be position 3. Remove both dial face screws. Install 1 of the provided spacers using the new provided screw on the side that will be underneath the sensor and tighten it down. (This screw and spacer will support the sensor from underneath to keep it level.) Then, use the other provided spacer and position it between the tanks dial face and metal sensor bracket and install the new provided screw through the metal bracket and tighten the screw down securing the sensor to the gauge. i. Ensure that the sensor is centered and straight over the dial face for that position and then fully tighten. b. Click NEXT 10) After the sensor is installed, you will now connect the sensor to the cloud: a. Press and hold the ON button for 2 to 3 seconds to turn on the display b. Press the ON button once and the screen will display “na” for a (new install) or F0 to F5 for a (reinstall). c. Press and hold the ON button for 5 seconds, until “ON” is shown d. Wait until a green light appears on sensor (next to the power button). Note: It could be hard to see the green light in full sunlight. You might need to shade the sensor with your hands. e. Note: During this step you may see any % reading between 1-99 on the sensor, but you may ignore at this moment. f. Click Next in the app once the green light appears. g. Your sensor is now checking the connection, this could take up to 8 minutes. Once it’s connected, the Next button in the app will turn green. h. Click Next 11) Checking tank level a. Wait for the green light on the sensor to turn off b. Once it turns off, wait 1 more minute, then press the power button on the sensor. If the sensor is positioned correctly, your correct tank level w

Mopeka Pro200 Installation Instructions
Mopeka Pro200 Installation Instructions Download the free Mopeka Co-Pilot App from your device's app store. Select a mounting location on top of the tank. Refer to Figure 1a and 1b at the bottom of page 2. Typically, because the wall on plastic tanks may deform over time, the center of the top wall is a good location; such that if the top wall deforms downward over time, the sensor will stay relatively level. Otherwise, any level location on the top wall, at least 3 inches away from any side wall, if possible, will be adequate. For odd-shaped tanks, the sensor is typically installed on the tallest section of the tank. If the tank has any internal devices, the sensor should not be installed over such devices. The sensor measures the airgap between the top of the tank and the liquid using ultrasonic technology. The airgap just under the sensor should be clear of any obstructions. Planned wire routing between the sensor and the 12V electrical system should also be considered when deciding mount location. Cut a hole 1.25" (32mm) diameter in top of tank at the chosen location. Note: the sequence of remaining steps (electrical connections and final mounting of the sensor) should be considered now. Depending on access to the mounting location and wire routing, it may be easier to make electrical connections before sensor is mounted, or vice versa. Electrical connection: Connect the sensor wires to the 12 V electrical system. Red Wire = 12 V Power Black Wire = Common Blue Wire = Connect to Power (red wire) or leave disconnected tanks up to 30" height. Connect to Ground (black wire) for tanks 30" up to 48" in height. When the sensor is connected to power, the sensor will go into a "Sync" mode for 5 minutes, in which it will be visible to the app. So, within those 5 minutes, open the app and add the sensor to the device list within the app. Final mounting: Prior to final mounting, it might be useful to measure tank height thru the mounting hole with a tape or ruler. See Figure 2 and Figure 3. The sensor flange has 2-sided tape applied to the flange. A primer stick is provided with the sensor. Apply primer around the edge of the tank hole where the 2 sided taped flange will contact the tank. The Primer will promote adhesion, especially on plastic tanks that are typically difficult for adhesive bonding. Peel the paper from the tape and install sensor into the hole. Pressure is required to adequately 'activate' tape adhesion. Press firmly around entire flange. Mounting screws are provided and highly recommended. Pilot holes for screw installation should be 1/8" or No.30 drill bit (.1285"). App Settings: Sensor is now ready for use. Return to the app, select the sensor, and then go to the settings tab for the sensor. Enter the height of the tank to ensure accurate readings. See figures below. There are other various settings that may be set according to your own preferences, including renaming the sensor.
